Scherer, Lisa M.
Born to Eternal Life on September 9, 2016 at the age of 42. Lisa is survived by her parents William and Evelyn, her brothers John (Alison) and Jason (Jaclyn), nephew Jack, nephew and godson Vincent, and nieces Lydia and Emmaline. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Marie Gombesky.

Lisa lived on her own in South Milwaukee for over 15 years before moving to Jefferson in 2010 to become part of the St. Coletta community. Lisa was an accomplished Special Olympics athlete, winning state medals in track & field, bocce, swimming and bowling. She also took great pride in her work life, especially her last job at Opportunities, Inc. Her other passions included music, singing, dancing and family. Lisa was a very proud aunt.

St. Coletta will be holding a public memorial mass in their chapel on campus (N4637 Co Rd Y, Jefferson, WI) at 1pm on Thursday, September 22. The family will be celebrating Lisa’s life at Molthen-Bell Funeral Home (700 Milwaukee Ave, South Milwaukee, WI) on Saturday, September 24; visitation starting at 2pm and service at 4 pm.
A permanent memorial is being established for Lisa at St. Coletta’s; in lieu of flowers, donations in Lisa’s memory are appreciated at www.stcolettawi.org/donations.
