Condolences

Condolence From: Linda Krantz
Condolence: I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Rick at the Department of Public Instruction. His smile was ever-present, and he could be depended upon for wise and reasoned insights. He delighted everyone each year with trays of paczki, delivered personally, on Paczki Day

Condolence: Rick Grobschmidt was a mentor on how to work with all sides in Madison. He was a man of integrity and thoughtfulness. I am glad I had a chance to spend time with him in the Spring of 2016.

His leadership is and will be missed in Madison and Milwaukee especially in education.

Condolence From: Jill Haglund
Condolence: I worked with Rick when he was an Assistant Superintendent at the Department of Public Instruction. I was a member of Rick's Bright Beginnings, Family, School Partner Team. Rick brought his commitment to children and families to his work here. He was a steadfast advocate for quality education and the important of starting early. Rick made a lasting impact through his work at DPI (and in the legislature).

Condolence: Working with him at DPI I remember him as a thoughtful and kind leader. I still have an image of him actively engaged in discussions at a statewide summit held to address the complex issues facing school libraries. It was clear he truly cared and wanted what was best for students, teachers and librarians. I agree that he was one of the good guys. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
